I have been working at Rent-A-Center full-time (More than a year)

Pros

Some of my co-workers
Being able to help out friends
Giving me experiance for a career
Teach how to lift properly
Might make a new friend
Make pretty good money

Cons

Degredation
Intimidation
Decieptfulness
Ungrateful customers and upper management
There will be more a stress free life once I am gone.
There are more cons than pros.
You think you might be helping customers but really they do not care
.Stay here for a a for 1-5 years then go to a more structured company like Aarons

Advice to Management

Bring back incentives for non salary employees instead of tiny gift cards for employees that stores have to pay for
Give out more sick time
fix intolorable vacation freezes
fix how vactions are not allowed to be taken 2 weeks in a row
or right after another coworker
how about stop ripping off customers
be more family friendly/bet the turn over rate would not be so dramatic

    I worked at Rent-A-Center full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The people and unique experiences that you will have with the company. Outside of the collections side of the company, it is a good company to work for and easy to move up, but does become slightly tedious.

    Cons

One word, collections. When you are at people's door trying to get the merchandise, you will see people at their worst. This really isn't on the company's fault but when you are trying to hit the numbers, you must become creative when recovering property. And when you don't and some times won't, it will fall back on you.

    Advice to Management

Respect more of your workers. Some stores can be problematic but there are good people working for the company.
