Pros

Product Lines manufacturers are strong.

Cons

Owners are not working together. One owner talks down to the employees and offers no real sense of professionalism or knowledge of sales. Rely too heavy on consultants and forget about running their business. Jan San owner is very uneducated in sales and customer service.

Advice to Management

Run your business as a small family business it is and not try to be a fortune 500 comapny with 10 employees. Get out of the conference room and into the streets selling. Other brokers do a far better job marketing their products.

I have been working at RepWorx full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Sales Reps are able to run/ manage territory without being micro managed. Inside and outside teams work well together. There is a definite cohesive "team" environment.

RepWorx represents excellent non foods product lines. Portfolio provides sales reps with numerous products to grow their respective territories. Employees are encouraged to reach out to their regionals and interact with the various levels of personnel at their distributors.

In the last two years, RepWorx has added 2 new territories in IL and WI, added 2 new product lines, and grown the outside team by 3 new sales reps.
Owners are very accessible to employees: easy to approach with questions/ concerns, available for feedback, and willing to assist with customer issues when necessary.

Hard work is recognized and professional growth is encouraged. Owners want team to reach full performance potential and achieve sales goals by utilizing individual talents, creating sales plans, and executing the plans.

    Cons

While I don't consider this a "con", it is something to be aware of: There is constant growth and change. If you are not a flexible individual who can be forward thinking, this may not be the environment for you.

    Advice to Management

Continue to grow company based on original company culture. RepWorx has an excellent company culture and core values. As the company grows, continue to value employees by continuing to encourage everyone to have a voice and nurture their core talents.

I worked at RepWorx full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Has a stated core set of values; admirable for a small company. Offers healthcare and 401K benefit packages. Some talented inside support personnel and a few good outside sales people.

    Cons

Nepotism. As an example, the Executive Committee is made up of family and friends solely. New employees are not allowed a voice and are often badgered verbally on a weekly basis by one of the owners. Aura of open and honest communication is marred by frequent put downs and new ideas are often dismissed without merit. Successful business culture should be an evolving set of collective beliefs, attitudes and values. Employees should be welcomed for identifying with the company's core set of values and embraced for the diversity and different personalities that they bring to the workplace to enhance your culture and move it forward. The current culture is entrepreneurial, at best and "stepford wives" like....a gentle reminder that people are not robots.

    Advice to Management

Wake up and look in the mirror. Your process is not working. Please stop treating your new employee's short employment status as some sort of experiment to "learn from". Hire a sales manager, that is not family or friend, and give them a chance to add some professionalism and class to your organization.
