    Pros

I guess the health insurance but even that was sub-par. RH used to have great people working there when I joined but everyone with common sense comes to learn how toxic the environment is there.

    Cons

Everything from the management down to pay. As people mentioned, if you aren't available 24/7, you won't get ahead or even noticed. You will get thrown under the bus by any VP/C-level exec. It all trickles down from Gary so until he's gone, that place is going to always be a toxic place to work.

    Advice to Management

Good luck. You have lost out on great talent and hire/promote the idiots.

I worked at Restoration Hardware full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Enjoyed meeting and working with new people. The pay was pretty good and some can have a succesful career with RH or similar companies

    Cons

They forget that you are an adult. They say they have an open door policy but anything you share with upper management will always be used against you. Seriously, you can not trust anyone there. There is no consistancy and corportate management has a high turnover. So when a new VP joins they come in and change everything. Then a year later there is another new VP. Can't leave your desk to use the restroom. Can only go when you are at break or at lunch.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees like adults not like a junior high school class. Use your open door policy to truly gain trust and offer support to your employees. Stop the drama instead of management initiating it.
