I have been working at Ricoh full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

My career with Ricoh began in August of 2012 as an entry level position. However, I have been in multiple roles since my hire date including; Management, Project Management and most recently Business Analyst. The opportunities that Ricoh has provided me have been incredible and I would recommend this energized organization to any of my friends and family. Management is always looking for ways to improve the culture and, in my opinion, that's what makes this organization one of the best places to work. Furthermore, I really enjoy the benefits and competitive salary.

I have been working at Ricoh full-time for less than a year

    Pros

A very nice work environment. We recently moved to a more open and collaborative environment at headquarters. As part of the move it has gotten easier to communicate and meet with people. That part definitely makes my job a lot easier. Recently there has been a lot of change and restructuring to set us up to be profitable and viable for the future. Being part of finance it is nice to see profitability turn around. Working for a financially stable company is important because it means you can see yourself there long term. Management is dedicated to this change as well. I think they are very invested in their employees and also a path for the company in the future. My role has been very enjoyable. My direct manager up to the CFO are all very respectful, open and communicative. I definitely feel like I am part of a team here and I enjoy coming to work because of this. For as large as Ricoh is, it feels like a much smaller company where I know mostly everyone in the office as well as who I work with. The last part that I personally enjoy is the dynamic of working for a Japanese company. We have employees who work alongside us that are on assignments from Japan. I find this piece very fascinating and something you will not experience at many other companies. I feel that this is definitely an asset for a company like Ricoh to have such diverse thought.

There needs to be an overall strategy centered around data and information. It needs to be easier to analyze and pull information. Right now we have a very disparate data structure where it is hard to pull information and get a hold of things easily. I am writing this as a con but I know we are actively working on improving this aspect and I believe this to be true. There is a wealth of information that are on different sites but I think there needs to be better communication of where this information is and how to get to it. I feel like I am finding different nuggets on a weekly basis that would be good to know up front.
