I have been working at Ritz-Carlton full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The Benefits are great!! Co-workers are nice and friendly (some). great location to all transportation

    Cons

Hours, No advancement for "certain" departments. Only care about pleasing the guest and not much the employee. The pay is very low for Westchester County oppose to the other two locations in New York because not actually in New York City. The shifts doesnt make sense, and management only seem to care about The Guest and not The Employee

    Advice to Management

If you take care of the employees they will take care of your company.

    I worked at Ritz-Carlton full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Environment, benefits, pay, advancement potential, staff appreciation

    Cons

Some favoritism (every company has this)
Management is often ignorant of staff level processes which makes expectations unreasonable

    Advice to Management

Include departmental staff in processes such as budgeting, changes in routine or software, etc. It may take a little longer, but avoids preventable costs, judgement errors and engages staff in the outcomes. Ownership in the work product inspires excellence and healthy competition.
