I worked at River City Casino part-time (Less than a year)

Pros

Beautiful new casino. Other bartenders were very nice to work with.

Cons

Management over hired and never reviewed benefits. I was supposed to be hired full time but wound up not even getting 20 hrs per week. I didnt recieve training until i was there 3 weeks. Schedules were emailed and posted with as little as 12 hours notice. I would arrive for my shift and after working an hour get sent home because they over staffed.

Advice to Management

Use a software to manage resources!! Complete proper training before scheduling someone for a shift.

I worked at River City Casino full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good pay, friendly people, advancement opportunities, learning opportunities, dependent on the shift you work some times are busier than others, good hours, free food and good health care.

    Cons

Some policies are bad, a lot of favoritism that goes on, management isn't the greatest, in some cases advancement is near impossible unless you know the right people, no life outside of work this is more a place to work for single people not a family person due to the hours and schedule, and be leery of the fake and phony people.
