Pros

They don't let people go except in really tough economic times, sometimes to the company's detriment. They don't require people to take leave when the office or client site closes due to conditions beyond the control of the office/client.

Cons

They need to review the performance of HQ support people (payroll, benefits, expenses, education, timekeeper, event planning) in light of their support for the people billing in the field.
Communications about what is happening with the company and what it means would be extremely helpful especially when reorganizations are done or key individuals leave>

Advice to Management

Upper management needs to get out of the office and out to the client sites to visit with customers and the field people.

    Pros

Opportunities to contribute to corporate performance. Various networking opportunities such as communities of interest, communities of practice, brown bag lunches, virtual lunches with the executive team.

    Cons

It is not always easy to see what new jobs are being bid that require my expertise. Some jobs require travel.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the communications with the field staff. The town hall meetings are informative. Would like to see more of the exective team out in the field.
