Pros

Money is good, you get two weeks off during the wintertime.

Cons

The hiring process is beyond broken. Engineers with low emotional intelligence think they can run candidates through the wringer and take months of their time and then also reject them for breathing the wrong way, and surprise! They reign supreme at this company, so no feedback. This cycle continues, talent team feeds more candidates into the process only for them to be rejected. If you’re a recruiter or sourcer, be warned. Management is nepotistic, and only serves to carry the proverbial club of “feed more candidates into the grinder or be fired”. No one wants to improve this process. And diversity, me oh my. They promoted someone with zero diversity experience to run that team, but it isn’t the least bit important because the company couldn’t care less beyond making the driest effort at it. They’ll secretly believe “we hire the best” while also handing out a school list that they want their candidates from. There is no critical thinking here. No process improvements. You’ll be disappeared, sometimes in bulk as this last year showed. Engineers will run you with no expectation of feedback, lord knows they couldn’t hire their way out of a paper bag either.

Pros

Total compensation is top of the market. Good benefits, matching 401k, free DEXA scans, nice HQ.

Cons

Chaotic management. Violatile stock price, one year you can make a lot of money with your RSUs, the next year its all worthless. Progression is hard, on paper they have a standardized rubric for leveling engineers but when it comes to calibration that's when the gaslighting and the caveat starts.
