I worked at Rogers Communications as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

They have a Tim Horton's at the Dixie campus

    Cons

    - Very segregated business units
    - It takes 20 people to change the color of web page
    - Contractors are treated like pariahs
    - Many managers like to look busy by disappearing
    - Many managers don't have the knowledge to do anything meaningful
    - Unfriendly work environment - everyone has their head down and does their work
    - After 3 weeks of waiting for ethernet cables as apparently Rogers (The billion dollar communications giant) had a shortage, I went out and bought my own.

    Advice to Management

    - Organize the formal org charts
    - update all of the training manuals and documents on the internal repository. many are outdated.
    - Run projects like the rest of the world. It doesn't take 3 PM's and 2 BA's to run with a small project.
