I worked at Rogers Group (More than a year)

Pros

I felt like the management really enjoyed the industry. They appreciate their staff and encourage work life balance. They were happy to hear new ideas, you just had to speak up!

Cons

The supervisors on my team were known for not promoting. Beginning pay is really low, but that is just how PR is.

I worked at Rogers Group full-time

    Pros

The company places an emphasis on training the employees that are in, or going to be in, a management role within the company one day. Everything from Safety to conveyors to crushers, they are trying to develop RGI into a better company.

    Cons

Each division is being managed differently and by different standards, and it's all up to the SMA. Other divisions might seem to be better, but the ETN division is terrible if you plan to work on the aggregates side. Poor pay, poor benefits, and the company doesn't seem to REALLY care about their employees.

    Advice to Management

Darin Matson - Take a closer look at how each of your SMA'a are being managed, and have Corporate develop some company standards the each SMA is FORCED to live by. Also, make sure each SMA also has a Agg VP and Construction VP. Some divisions don't have this, and they forget about the needs of the employees on the Agg side, atleast in the ETN division.
