Negative Outlook
Approves of CEO

I worked at Rolls-Royce as an intern (Less than a year)

Pros

Ability to work independently and take on projects that are meaningful to the business. Training organization that invests in employees. Good locations (VA and Indy)

Cons

Little follow through on projects. Technology is stuck in the 90's. Egotistical HR leadership. Not real-world focused when developing projects. Ineffective org structure.

Advice to Management

CEO has good ideas, management should follow his lead instead of being so short-term focused. They need to deliver actual results. Also, don't lie about availability of positions!

I have been working at Rolls-Royce full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

job security; respectable pay; challenging work; strong brand identity; opportunities for internal moves among functions and international sites; enough variety in subcultures to find a good fit.

    Cons

shared sense that even a strong performer one must leave the company and return to receive a significant raise; advancement is paced (i.e., few young people in leadership positions, though this is probably characteristic of the industry); differentiation among performance levels is weak (and this is not necessarily a bad thing).

    Advice to Management

review pros and cons and decide if this is the right balance
