I have been working at Rolls-Royce full-time

Pros

Great Brand, serious about ethics

Cons

Depending on the division the leadership and culture ranges from excellent to horrible. If you are on a rotation, make sure the music doesn't stop when you are in the wrong chair.

Advice to Management

Go Fix.

I have been working at Rolls-Royce full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The pros of the job are being part of such a big global corporation. The customers are located all over the world and there's plenty of opportunity to get familiar with other cultures in different areas of the world.

    Cons

The company is so pre-occupied with their processes, it makes the efficiency and productivity suffer severely. I've been there almost a year now, and I haven't actually done any real engineering yet. Majority of the work consists of pushing papers and getting trained on all the processes they use.

    Advice to Management

Management is very open to hearing the employees and trying to make things better. The turn over rate is somewhat high so a lot of good ideas are started but aren't really followed through with. My advice to management would be to focus less on processes to improve things and give more authority to engineers to allow them to follow through with their tasks.

    Pros

People at this company care for your success and happiness as an employee. Great pay from my experience.

    Cons

Sometimes HR disregards suggestions for placement in the group that would be a best fit.

    Advice to Management

Keep up with training opportunities and listening to your employees.
