I have been working at Rolls-Royce full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Great co-workers who are very knowledgeable, loyal and always willing to help you out
Interesting products, work is challenging and satisfying
Huge order book, resulting in AEC investing in a new state-of-the-art facility
    Good work/life balance

    Cons

The company seems to have taken a huge step backwards since Rolls-Royce took over. Objectives and priorities often change due to knee-jerk reactions. They have taken away almost all incentives to progress and take on more responsibility, as well as no longer being interested in developing and retaining their employees. Too much red tape & politics

    Advice to Management

Be more pro-active and set your priorities straight. Try to do more to develop and retain staff or lose them

I have been working at Rolls-Royce full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Unrivalled training opportunities, development of employees is valued extremely highly and recognised for its importance in company success. Not overworked but always challenged, a very welcoming work environment.

    Cons

Some older employees too resistant to change and not interested in company success. Too much bureaucracy.

    Advice to Management

Give more decision making power to people lower down, reduce overwhelming process bureaucracy. This would increase efficiency and see new ideas accelerate faster.
