I worked at Rosetta full-time

Pros

Fantastic People, talented and a wonderful place to work. Good work life balance. Would work there again. Recommended highly. Fantastic.

Cons

Sometimes delegation of work is in fits and starts, and there's a lot of phonying up of hours to satisfy billable hours. Spent an awful lot of time sitting at my desk, bored and surfing the internet.

I have been working at Rosetta full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good exposure to top-shelf clients and somewhat innovative work.
    Decent work/life balance

    Cons

Year-end review process is beyond appalling and outright ridiculous.

    Advice to Management

If nepotism, favortism, cliqish immature behavior and dramatics are what you crave then this is the place for you.

Senior Management has no idea what is going on here, a classic case of the inmates running the asylum.

For starters, the company has multiple offices and the word integration is nice for powerpoint presentations and town hall meetings but don't kid yourself, the proper word to use here is segregation- by title, by office and even by salary level.

And if that wasn't enough, nepotism is alive and well here as well leading to those employees who are fortunate enough to have their parents (yes, it is true) DIRECTLY supervising and coddling them doing what they wish, where and when they wish and getting the prime work why would anyone want to work here?

To top that, the evaluation/promotion process is reserved for those who make a career out of coddling the partners and placing their noses squarely in their behind which, of course leads to promotions. The whole Associate Partner level here is reserved specifically for that purpose so don't think diligence or hard work is rewarded here because it isn't and reserved for a select few.

For a company experiencing some good growth and a roster of great clients, you should expect more. I know i did when i took this job and now i am personally running for the door. Along with the others who are smart enough to realize it.

My whole experience here has been quite a disappointment and i regret ever accepting a position here.

    Pros

They will hire you have you have a pulse, because they need to replace all of the people who are running out the door.

    Cons

If you have a good job now, definitely do not give it up to take a job at Rosetta. They will dangle some salary in front of you and then forget to mention (a) that your medical benefits won't start until the first of the next month (don't forget to buy Cobra!), (b) the two previous people in your position left after less than a year, and (c) they use forced ranking during the performance review process so that someone is always going to be at the bottom. Also, they're getting squeezed by their new parent company Publicis for higher margins. That means you're going to be worked to the bone.

    Advice to Management

None. They are their own worst enemies.
