I have been working at Ross Stores part-time (More than a year)

Pros

good discounts 20%, 40% on certain times of the year
nice coworkers
very flexible hours works well if you are going to school
company thats gaining popularity

Cons

do a lot with little recognition
rude customers
the company itself has a lot of flaws, like giving up better working facilities
always busy
open late

Advice to Management

you should really try and recognize the employees more. they do so much for you guys and all the new management that is being brought in outside the company hasn't been doing a good job of that.

I have been working at Ross Stores part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

It was a new store so got experience opening a brand new store
    Made some cool friends

    Cons

New manager didn't exactly run the store in an efficient manner
Hired a bunch of people to open the store and but cut back a lot of the hours and people because they didn't have enough money in their budget
No one could be transferred to a different store
management and supervisors weren't consistent or on the same page with what needed to be done

    Advice to Management

Think she bit off more than she could chew

I worked at Ross Stores full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Career Opportunities
    Resume Building
    20% Discount
    Face Paced

    Cons

Having a different management style from the store manager can make things tricky.
All associates have to work at 100% for the business model to work. 80 associates at 100% and 1 associate at 75% and the model fails.

    Advice to Management

Don't trust store managers. They will lie about associates/supervisors/asms so they aren't held accountable.
