I worked at Ross Stores part-time (More than a year)

Pros

Great coworkers, meet a various amount of people, rarely the same experience.

Cons

Too much work for very little compensation, hours are very unstable, cleaning up after so called "adults." I guess this job is a good one for those who are barely starting in the workforce or going to school but other than that, I would suggest to stay away.

Advice to Management

Store managers are great, they can only work with what they are provided from corporate and honestly, it is not much.

I have been working at Ross Stores part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Discounts come in handy, 20% off all time, 40% off every few months. Interacting with usual customers, building relationship

    Cons

Managers are not on the same page with each other, but each store may be different. They are VERY slow with raises. Dealing with irritate customers is always a negative, but that's retail for ya

    Advice to Management

have meetings with employees, and each other to get on one page.

I have been working at Ross Stores full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Profitable and growing company. Great traffic in stores so the day goes fast in high volume stores.

    Cons

Cutting payroll and full time jobs while making the best profits ever in company history and paying out more to stock holders. Workers reviewed on video for compliance accountability. Increasing goals so that bonuses are cut and adding more subjective criteria so you are at it is your boss that sets your bonus not your results.

    Advice to Management

If you don't take care of your staff they are less likely to take good care of customers and Customers and Employees have options.
