I worked at Ross Stores full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Awesome deals on everything plus an associate discount on the merchandise. Great atmosphere to work in and can move up easily in the company.

    Cons

Always cleaning the store people think they are at home and throw the merchandise all over the floors. Sometimes you would work where ever they told you even if it wasn't your job title.

    Advice to Management

    Teamwork

I worked at Ross Stores part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Flexible Work hours. Incredibly easy work. Literally, zero effort and thought is required for the most part.

    Cons

Unorganized. Poor pay/raises (min. wage the whole time). The dress requirements is old-fashioned and not with the times. No focus on customer service.

    Advice to Management

If you want to compete with the superior stores (i.e. TJ MAXX / Marshalls, etc.) you need to do a major overhaul of your sales floor, operations, and overall portrayal of your business (colors, dress codes, marketing, etc.). The training, company vision and stores feels outdated by a couple decades.
