I have been working at Ross Stores full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Courteous, professional and friendly staff. Each store is different, having a manager who wants to see you succeed is a plus.

    Cons

The hiring process is a bit lengthy but I'm not sure if that's just a southern experience or an overall experience.

    Advice to Management

A company with zero debt is already impressive however, in the effort to gain intelligent, success-driven, quality employees - the compensation must be considered with the treatment of every candidate as an individual. It is unwise to offer base pay on what 'everyone else' in a position is paid, otherwise the potential for the best person can be missed. Why not negotiate for the best person for a particular job, instead of settling for the next person on the list.
