I worked at Ross Stores full-time (More than a year)

Pros

Tons of opportunities for those who work hard and produce results. Upper Management always available to help and support stores. Stores within district really support each other. Store managers work alongside employees which helps create a motivated positive store atmosphere. I loved the family this company gave me!

Cons

High turnover of lower store management due to low pay. Had to sell positions on growth opportunities which resulted in low experience supervisors who became overwhelmed easily. Store would benefit from more payroll each month because the amount of work required was not supported by what was given which meant management had to be cashiers instead of driving the business and focusing on employee engagement.

Advice to Management

$200 more per week in payroll would make a night and day difference in the positive outlook of employees.

I worked at Ross Stores part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The job itself is straightforward and you get to work with people as well as a team.

    Cons

Expectations are far too high given the part time position, as well as the stress placed on stocking. If you're applying, fixate on sales associate positions rather than stock.

I have been working at Ross Stores part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I worked here for a year, and only had a few problems. Super easy job if you show up on time, and actually put forth some kind of effort.

    Cons

As always, there's some kind of drama that happens. Juvenile, but it happens. The hours can change based on the season, and the management can be petty. As in, don't show up for a shift one week or don't take a shift that they need you to, and they will schedule you for less hours the next week.

    Advice to Management

Don't play with the scheduling, and don't show preference. Overall a decent place to work!
