I have been working at Rovi full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

- Above average pay.
- Great medical benefit
- Good 401K match.
- Flexible work hours.

Cons

- Incompetent C-level executives. CEO and CFO do not have any prior experience as C-Level executives.
- No future plan or vision or product.
- Constant re-org, rather than focusing on actual "management"
- Strong nepotism exists in upper level management

Advice to Management

- Please check Glassdoor and see how your employees feel about company's direction and future.
- I honestly do not understand why board is not willing to replace Tom to someone else.

I have been working at Rovi full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The company does a great job in the benefits department including several options for health, dental, and life insurance, 401K plans, and an employee stock program.

    Cons

In recent years, Rovi has suffered from a variety of bad product ideas which makes them look like amateurs in the field. In my experience, there was not real innovation happening. Also, it seemed as if Rovi has a history of promoting the wrong people.

    Advice to Management

Perfect the core business and stay focused on it. Stop jumping into "the next bug thing."

I worked at Rovi full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good compensation (salary, stock purchase program, affordable healthcare), nice office space (plenty of room :-)). Good people to work with. Good work/life balance.

    Cons

Unclear product roadmap. Unclear vision for company. Exodus of employees. Frequent reorgs. Management doesn't appear to care -- when was the last time an EVP made it to the 2nd floor of the Burbank office and said "hello" to the little people? Low employee morale. Project staffing frequently changes.

    Advice to Management

    Correct the above problems.
