I worked at Royal Caribbean Cruises as a contractor (More than 3 years)

    Pros

You will travel to some remote places and meet some extraordinary people. Your fellow crew mates will become like an extended family to share and grow with.

    Cons

Being away from your family for extended periods and then getting called back early when you get a break because they are short staffed.

    Advice to Management

Setup a small mid contract survey like the one that is used during the end of contract to have a sense how new employees are progressing.

I worked at Royal Caribbean Cruises as a contractor (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Worked for the company for almost 7 years. Started as cleaner and left on maternity as 2 stripes officer. As long as you have the skills, qualification and desire to move up you will get all the support. Just do your job the way you should be doing it and you will get noticed.

    Cons

The food was not always making me happy but then again I am a little bit picky.
