I worked at SEEK full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

-Recently we see and hear many diverse nationalities and smart people joining from corporate companies
    - some improvement on employee benefits although could be still better
-some degree of open door policy for employee to speak with the younger C-level members who are open to hear and promote changes

    Cons

-company lead by direction-less leader and little to inspire the employees. If you ask any employees in any countries of Seek Asia, they wonder if they are Seek Asia or Jobstreet or Jobsdb. Utter confusion of identity even after 2 over years of acquisition!
    - unprofessional attitude from the top leader. Some old-timer share about the old stories of how he shouted or saying demeaning words that could be hear from the walls and that still continue today
-too many involvement of managers, heads and even from C-level which makes it hard and confusing for employees to execute decisions. Everyone wants to be right!!
    - many legacy mindset that frustrate those who want to change for the better. Some have left due to frustration
    - recently company retain a long-serving employee who tyrant her employees with bias style but promoting her to regional position. You can read that from the Jobstreet Malaysia page review.
-many good leaders have left the company and almost on weekly that we read email or hear rumors of resignations
    - forget about work-life balance!

    Advice to Management

Headquarter need to focus to improve the management of Seek Asia and renew the noble vision of the company before it slide down further.

I worked at SEEK full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Big company. Get to meet a lot
Of driven people. Melbourne office is great to work at. A lot more passionate people there

    Cons

Horrible working culture. The company tries to buy you in by giving you heaps of perks but really you're just a another number on a seat.
Can be a bit of a bullying environment at times. You have the popular kids group.
Sydney team members are awful. Not really as friendly as Melbourne. Not inviting place to work when I was in Sydney. A lot of favouritism and not as commercial. Very young team there and not as professional. Can be catty at times.
Heavily drinking culture and a lot of travel required. A bit like a cult.
Seek as lost their direction in the market and are really trying anything to keep their image strong.

    Advice to Management

Melbourne office is a great culture. North Sydney office needs to be managed better. The vibe there is shocking. Really immature environment and very off putting. Managers in Melbourne are very passionate but Sydney is under the radar. Attention is needed
