Pros

Good pay and good guys to work with.

Cons

Long hours. Not a good job for you if your claustrophobic, do not like getting dirty, or working hard.

Thanks for the review! We do a lot of confined space work and handle waste management, so yes, you will get dirty at times!

    Pros

Has the money and resources to offer you training in many areas of environmental remediation as well as waste and chemical management.

    Cons

Does not really care for the employees; Is a reactive company not a proactive company; will take shortcuts if needed.

    Advice to Management

Get people in place who are knowledgeable, like the head chemist in Houston or the head of the waste facility in Houston.

I have been working at SET Environmental full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

SET takes the time to train their employees a great deal. Some companies would depend on on-the-job training right out of the gate, but they really make an effort to train first. Most of the employees and supervisors are pleasant to work with, and that makes a big difference too. They seem more concerned with quality versus quantity or being out to make a buck. It's a good place to start in the waste industry.

    Cons

Starting pay for the position seems low.

    Advice to Management

Evaluate pay to see where you are in the market.
