I have been working at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory as an intern (Less than a year)

Pros

-Small workload
-Great pay $15 and hour
-Allowed us to leave early or take time off anytime

Cons

-Temporary ( a little over 2 months)
-No chance for long term employment

Advice to Management

We were working on a web page and the content was not ready for the first two weeks. My coworker and I just sat around for 2 weeks. Next time they should be more organized.

    Pros

Tuition reimbursement (college) for your children is excellent. Sick leave and vacation are separate.

    Cons

Back-handed management. Subversive, secretive behavior (especially in HR). Science (core) is good...Admiinistration (COO) should be watched carefully.

    Advice to Management

Less chronyism and favortism. Less politics. Executive management is beholden to Satanford University and the Department of Energy...cannot make independent, autonimous decisions.
