I have been working at SNC-Lavalin for more than a year

    Pros

SNC Lavalin is a large firm but seems nimble enough to recognize changes in the marketplace and is not afraid to invest and capitalize on emerging opportunities. - I get to work on big, interesting projects, many times using cutting edge or emerging technologies. - Worldwide name recognition. - Many colleagues are leaders in their respective fields.

    Cons

you finished the project in the morning, you are layed off in the afternoon.

I worked at SNC-Lavalin full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience working at SNC-Lavalin during its acquisition of Kentz Engineers and Constructors and Atkins Offshore Engineering. The Oil and Gas SNC team includes Legacy Valerus and Kentz employees, who are some of the best around. Flexible hours, great company benefits.

    Cons

Lack of new sales does not allow for stability or growth. I worked at SNC-Lavalin full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

    Great co-workers, decent pay.

    Cons

Too much politics, too many incompetent managers, outdated technology. No training opportunities.

    Advice to Management

Look in the mirror and make the needed changes to your management roles. Stop laying off the dedicated and hard workers and get rid of the incompetent managers. Step up to the plate and lead by example.
