I worked at SOTI as an intern (More than a year)

Pros

Great work environment. Everyone is friendly and knowledgeable. You can learn a lot from the coworkers and really boost your knowledge of software dev.

Cons

Work sometimes can get a bit stale meaning that you are doing the same thing over and over again. Also, crunch time means extra hours after work and during weekends, but i mean that happens to pretty much all software companies so can't really complain

Advice to Management

Great Management!

    Pros

Agree with the previous post about the owner-CEO.
Bright people join SOTI periodically attracted by the CEO personality.

    Cons

Majority of cons are described in the previous post quite well.
It appears that the senior management has accepted the fact that people massively leave SOTI for some *unexplainable* reasons and just tries to squeeze from them while they are still there.
There is no organized knowledge exchange between developers, neither technical training. In general, communication within teams is poor. Duplicated code is often written because developers avoid communicating to each other and to the managers because they are afraid to be punished for mistakes. The management doesn't care or doesn't know how to do thing differently.
Quite a bit of disrespect. As an example, stand-up meetings in the SOTI trying-to-adopt Scrum interpretation are when the manager is sitting and everybody else is standing for whatever long the meeting takes...

    Advice to Management

Align the managent style with the industry standards. Bring 'fresh blood' from outside to the management.

    Pros

The owner and CEO of the company is a nice person.

    Cons

This company has a broken development process. The R&D led by a junior developer who is loyal to the owner of the company. All experienced people left this company, and the management is trying to hire experienced developers, but not willing to pay the marketing value. Good luck with that. The working environment is the terrible place located in the warehouse.

    Advice to Management

    Shutdown the company
