Neutral Outlook
Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at SRA International full-time (More than a year)

Pros

Decent (not top-line) benefits
Company very client-focused
Recently there is more focus on building business

Cons

"Honesty and Service" logo needs to be just "Service". Honesty and open communications with upper management is no longer valued, at least in HR.
Preferential treatment regardless of performance.
Culture of collaboration has been lost.

Advice to Management

SRA used to have a reputation for dealing fairly with its employees. Due to contract losses, pay reductions on recompetes are becoming more commonplace. Even if the recompete is won, staff are leaving for other jobs to regain their prior salaries. On the administrative side, staff reductions plus increased workloads are putting inordinate pressure on remaining staff to get work done. We are losing good people as a result. Don't have the answer, just know it's no longer an enjoyable work atmosphere.

    Pros

    - Many managers give you space to develop your career, and to contribute to the growth of the company.
    - SRA clients tend to rely on us for a variety of skills, so it is possible to move around and develop different skill sets over time.
    - Our offices are generally pretty nice, if you have an office and are not sitting at the client site.

    Cons

    - The benefits have gotten more expensive and less beneficial. Health premiums have gone up, and deductibles have been added where there were none.
    - The acquisition of the company has meant that there is no longer an employee stock purchase plan. When it existed, that was a GREAT benefit.
    - Internal mobility is hard because the company can be very stove-piped at times, and because there are generally less jobs available than people who are looking (at least right now).
