I worked at SRA International full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

Smart people working on advanced federal IT
Not a toxic workplace - people are friendly, helpful
SRA has a good reputation with its customers

Cons

Very dependent on federal contracting, which is a weak sector going forward.
My company was bought by SRA, then Ernst retired, Deb bailed - turnover has hurt focus of our business group at a bad time.
Changes to titles, performance reviews, leave policies, health plans, parking and severance have been presented poorly to staff.

Advice to Management

Shake off the performance of the past few years (dipped from almost 7000 to 5700 employees) and focus on getting work. Your people will get over the difficulties of the transition if they see the company growing.

I worked at SRA International full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Compensation is on par or better than similar sized companies. Some of the projects are more interesting and challenging. The local leadership was a pleasure to work with.

    Cons

Personal and professional growth is limited. The merit raises seemed to be the same regardless of your individual contribution.

    Advice to Management

The corporate management has caused some good talent to jump ship. There seems to be a lack of support from local management when it comes to dealing with corporate level issues and at the corporate level discussions about employee's issues seem unwelcome.

I worked at SRA International full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good benefits and decent resources. Working at a location with no supervision was nice. Ability to work on different technologies.

    Cons

Management only concerned with themselves. I know big surprise right? Not enough people to ensure the technical aspects are taken care of. To many pencil pushers not doing anything. The HR systems are broken and user interface is bad.

    Advice to Management

Look out for your people or they wont look out for you.
