I have been working at SSP America full-time (More than a year)

Pros

The hours are great if you can work a day time shift because it allows you to be home with your family. Minimal supervision allows you to organize your work day as you see fit.

Cons

Cost of health insurance is incredibly high. Corporate is incredibly skittish and terminates people over the slightest thing. VP's are not always the most knowledgeable about the restaurant business. Bonus structure is set up in such a way as to make it completely unattainable.

Advice to Management

Allow your management staff to hit bonus - don't set the bar so high that they can never reach it. Re-negotiate the health insurance, as the premiums are so high as to make it nearly unaffordable. Salaries are at the lowest end of the spectrum for restaurant managers.

    Pros

    a dollar above minimum wage.

    Cons

horrible company, horrible management, too many "supervisors/managers" not enough actual supervision. Unprofessional. Unorganized. Employees show up when they want and management gives out a "write up" occasionally for it. Write ups are a joke because you can have well over ten and still not be concerned. Cash handling is a joke. Over all poor rating. I've never seen a company work like this before. Also all the corporate decisions are exactly that, corporate decisions. They don't know what's best for their employees because upper management isn't around to know how the kiosks are actually ran and what would actually help.

    Advice to Management

    Good luck.
