I have been working at SUPERVALU full-time (More than 8 years)

Pros

Decent benefits, fairly competitive wages... IT Management is fairly consistent and into progress albeit slowly. Shifting of customer and market outlook. Wayne Sales seems to be on the level and have a real grasp of what we needs to be done and may turn it around finally.

Cons

Gutting itself at the customer facing level to pay for executive salaries and perks. Its been overrun by a bloated bureaucratic system of upper management that is out to save its salaries, while sacrificing experience at middle management.

Need to reverse this trend soon.

    I worked at SUPERVALU full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    In marketing they had a flexible work environment where you can work from home, which I loved.

    Cons

    They have no real grasp of how to compete in the grocery business in this century. Until they start making serious changes to their business model they will not be able to compete. Merchandising runs the ship and until their focus on vendors instead of consumers changes, they cannot expect to change their trajectory.

    Advice to Management

    Change everything you're doing right now. Seriously, everything.
