Pros

Beautiful facility. Friendly and intelligent people. Great HR staff. Decent Benefits.

Cons

Extreme lack of knowledge regarding the Airline industry. Improper development methodology for a global organization. Disorganized and poor management at all levels especially at the top. Top level execs with no strategic vision of the future, and therefore no procedural direction provided to middle management. Almost all of middle managers were developers promoted to management, without any leadership or interpersonal skills. Since being purchased by private investors (business flippers), the focus is on doing too much with too little. Poor work life balance, and low compensation rate.

Advice to Management

Determine the future direction of the company, and implement that vision throughout the the lower ranks with consistency and accurate metrics.

    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

Very good work life balance, culture is laid back and collegial. Benefits are pretty good, although they have been scaled back from what they were previously. Pay was about market level for my position, although commute out to Southlake cuts into the salary.

    Cons

Frequent layoffs - yes, travel is a fairly cyclical industry but it sounds like the company was rehiring for some positions they laid off only a few months before. Layoffs did not sound too strategic, more like every group should lose some people.

    Advice to Management

Take a harder look at strategy for staffing - layoffs don't necessarily have to cut across the board evenly. Company is definitely a follower (sometimes a slow follower) rather than leader.

    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

Great work-life balance; good group of employees; great food in cafe; focus on strategy; thorough employee review process; good bonus opportunities

    Cons

Egomaniacal sr leaders. Bureaucracy and process stifling. Old airline and agency guys still in charge although growth businesses are hotel and online. Arrogant approach to customers and market. Very few jobs at vp level and above

    Advice to Management

Bring in some fresh blood. The same svps rotate jobs every 2 years. No innovation is possible with that crew.
