I worked at Safeway part-time (Less than a year)

Pros

You can cash your paychecks at customer service, the registers are pretty simple and you get paid every Friday.

Cons

They start you off minimum wage no matter what experience you have, they don't give long enough breaks.

I have been working at Safeway part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Great co workers
    Get paid every friday

    Cons

The managers are super rude. I asked them what they wanted me to start doing for closing and they rudely told me to go get carts, they then preceded to talk about me right in front of my face.
Some of the co workers think they are better then you if they have been working at safeway longer then you.
The managers do not appreciate the courtesy clerks for doing every single thing that needs to be done. They also don't care about their customers. They only care about themselves.
The managers will ignore customers to talk to their co worker friends and give the customers dirty looks if they ask for help.
I am part time employee and they have been scheduling me 35+ hours and I have reminded them that I am part time.
Do not work here unless you expect no manager to actually help you and not give you the hours you want.

    Advice to Management

Get managers that actually care about their customers and their employees.
