I worked at Saks Fifth Avenue full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The double discount was amazing, my coworkers were amazing. Product knowledge and free gifts were good, and the benefits.

    Cons

Micro managed like no reason...Make you wake up 7am on a Saturday to go to a credit bootcamp class if you don't open up a card, too much pressure to promote their stupid events every 2 weeks. No room for growth or its harder when you don't kiss all asses there are.

    Advice to Management

    1) Your credit card/survey/email situation is a joke.
    2) Maybe if your PR department was better, you wouldn't of had to get bought out and would've made more money.
    3) Evaluate your managers.

I worked at Saks Fifth Avenue full-time

    Pros

    good company, CEO very smart

    Cons

Lots of inner office drama and gossip, high turnover, people that are promoted aren't necessarily a perfect fit for the job, the facility is old, no kitchens or place to eat lunch, it smells kind of funky; takes a long time to get promoted

    Advice to Management

    Get a kitchen, seriously
