I have been working at Saks Fifth Avenue part-time (More than a year)

Pros

Relaxed atmosphere.
Carries good luxury brands.
Opportunity to earn a lot of money depending on your sales.
Good associate benefits and discounts.
PTO and Insurance for both part-time and full-time.
Flexible with scheduling.

Cons

Some managers not too helpful.
Certain sales floor suffers from not having the goods to sell.
Internal system is a mess in terms of locating items and getting it to customers.
The draw kills your commission.

Advice to Management

Listen to your associates about what they need on their floor in order to boost their sale, and your bonuses.

*The management was very always fair.

    Cons

*If there isn't any parttime or fulltime positions open....Looking to get back in saks as a seasonal and then make my way up as a full timer.

I have been working at Saks Fifth Avenue full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great discount! You have the ability to create, grow, and develop your own business and success. Those individuals who are determined and ambitious have room to flourish. People are friendly and willing to assist you.

    Cons

Not for those who wish to coast by - fast paced and demanding.

    Advice to Management

Continue to mentor those individuals with high potential and continue investing in training entry level positions so that internals can grow within the company. I would love to see even more of the upper level positions being filled by internal candidates.
