I have been working at Salesforce full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Exciting cutting edge and market leading technology
Excellent management support for career and personal advancement
    Excellent perks and amenities
Very friendly culture of support and welcoming.

    Cons

The workload gets intense pretty quickly
Fast growth means constant org changes,
The size of the company is much larger than it's "maturity". This can also be a pro in the sense of flexible processes, but it also means there are less than sufficient controls and standards for professionalism.

    Advice to Management

Trigger happy promotions are great, but there are way too many inflated titles without enough experience or competence to back it. When you consider a sampling of Principal MTSs for example, there is major discrepancy between their relative levels of experience and contribution.

I have been working at Salesforce full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great products that customers want and that actually work.

Unbelievable talented co-workers who feel like they are doing something meaningful.

Brilliant senior leadership, making the right strategic moves.

    Cons

Support (CFL) is spread too thin and is no longer meeting their commitments opening the door to competitive threats and attrition, making it difficult to earn the renewal bonus (~40% of variable comp).

Inconsistent territory assignment makes it difficult to build and execute a pipeline because you are constantly starting over, making it difficult to hit your quota.

Recruiting too many regional managers from IBM. Not the great thought and process leaders of the past, but rather the people who are best at managing their own managers; lead through fear and threats; and care more about themselves than their customers or team. They are not a resource to help sell, and more often get in the way altogether.

    Advice to Management

Consistency counts. Define your coverage and support models before it's too late.
