I have been working at Salesforce full-time (Less than a year)

Pros

Industry leading solutions and transformative technologies that really do make a difference for companies. Solid support team for the account executives.

Cons

Boiler room mentality when it comes to sales. Tremendous amount of cold calling, thin territories, monthly close cadence and overbearing management make this one of the worst sales jobs. Low number of new salespeople make their number. Evidenced by high turnover in the sales group.

Advice to Management

Treat your salespeople as more than interchangeable parts. Set them up for success by equitably distributing accounts.

    I worked at Salesforce full-time

    Pros

    User Experience group HAD a great culture. Very good in foundation work. Great, well respected and visionary CEO. Great company location.

    Cons

    In last 10 months the team has become very political. Good work is not appreciated. Don't join at this group right now. No problems with the company but LOTS of problems with the user experience, interaction design group. Many people have left this group in last 6 months due to bad management.

    I have been working at Salesforce full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    Fast-paced, smart people, innovative company. The best technology in the enterprise software industry, great marketing, and a killer sales team adds up to continued success. The salesforce foundation and 1/1/1 model are inspiring.

    Cons

    Very fast paced, which has both pros and cons. So many ideas and priorities -- sometimes has trouble focusing. Long hours. Cross-organizational collaboration is challenging.

    Advice to Management

    Do whatever it takes to avoid becoming slow and bureaucratic as the company grows.
