I have been working at Salvation Army full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Working for the Salvation Army allows you to contribute positively to the world and help people.

    Cons

Low pay, nothing more than "cost of living" raises. Not a lot of room for advancement.

    Advice to Management

Consider which officers you are giving specific positions to. Some officers are not the right fit for positions given to them. Be more appreciative of your employees and don't think that employees should work long hours without compensation just because you are a non-profit.

I have been working at Salvation Army full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Great people in the field, helping the poor.

    Cons

If you are not an officer, you are a second class citizen. Intense pressure from headquarters to make aid conditional on participation in the church, despite what they claim.
