Approves of CEO

I have been working at Sam's Club full-time (More than 10 years)

Pros

Getting promoted is not to hard as long as you are smart and make good decisions. Pay is for a retail establishment. Assistant managers can make up to 60000, and some can get up to a 25% bonus.

Cons

The higher you move up, the more you feel threatened about your employment. As a ft or pt associate, you feel more secure.

Advice to Management

More training for management. Trial by error is not the best way too learn. It's effective, but no body wants to learn that way.

  1. "Can make some good friendship...all clubs seem to have a great deal of favoritism when it comes to promotions!"

I have been working at Sam's Club (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Benefits, job security, pretty much guaranteed a raise every year of at least .40, and normally great bonus yearly...can always transfer your job after 6 months if you decide to relocate.

    Cons

Wayyyyyyyyyyyy too much favoritism from store to store...even after obtaining a college degree and showing that you have what it takes to be a great leader a member of their "clique" may get promoted over you. Store manager can stop you from getting management when in many cases you would have really been the chosen one...

    Advice to Management

Be fair to all associates, give credit where credit is due, FOLLOW POLICIES...promote growth!

I worked at Sam's Club part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

flexible hours, experience in customer services, friendly coworkers

    Cons

hard to communicate with necessary management, push too hard for credits and upgraded memberships (loses focus on making sure member isn't pestered)
