I worked at Sam's Club part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Bulk items means that you don't have to deal with small items.
    closing at 8:30
    lenient dress code
Any decently intelligent person will move around the club as they like, and since Sam's hires within, moving up in the company is definitely an option.

    Cons

cashiers feel like car salesmen selling plus memberships.
    Bulk means lifting heavy things.
It's a Wal-Mart company, that can weigh on your soul a bit
    Items are quality, not stylish.

    Advice to Management

If you build it, they will come. Make a product worth buying, and it will sell itself. eValues are coupons, and we all know it, so cut it out. (Sam Walton knew better).

I worked at Sam's Club part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Pay was great for someone who started with no prior experience in any fields. As an electronics sales associate I started at $8.85 and the responsibilities were few and easy.

    Cons

The managers had a sense of entitlement that I couldn't handle. The power of being an assistant manager had gone to every last one of their heads and they treated employees with little respect.

    Advice to Management

You catch more flies with honey than vinegar; maybe if you treated your employees decently your turnover rate wouldn't be so high.
