    Pros

There are a lot of benefits to working at Sam's Club. This includes BCBS Insurance, 6% 401(k) matching, up to 5% stock matching, ON-Demand virtual health assessment such as cold/flu checkups, medication refills and even therapy/psychiatry for free! The benefits that are coupled with working for Walmart/Sam's Club are plentiful. Another nice feature is the ability to apply at entry level with no experience in most anything and you have a fair chance at being hired. The biggest reason (IMO) to work at Sam's is to gain communication skills, understand fast-paced environments and most importantly, utilize their GUILD program which sends associates to college for absolutely FREE, part-time or full-time.

    Cons

In my experience, there is a lack of management, communication and an overbearing workload imposed on the associates within the club. Morale is low on most fronts. The club is hideously understaffed, (even though they swear they are not). The Therapy is a nice bonus, however, this place might be the place to drive you to them. In my opinion, if management/supervisors could manage the turnover rate, properly staff and *TRAIN* their new associates, the place could actually run fairly smoothly. The place needs more staffing allocation, that is the main problem, yet they increase the workload 5x and give no extra help, even with the rapidly increasing profit margins.
