Pros

Company TRULY takes care of employees with above-average salary, bonuses, and not to mention the ESOP with 100% vesting after only 3 years!

Cons

Smaller company, so if you have ambitions of rapid advancement - you may want to discuss the potential with HR or management before accepting a position.
However, I'm a college educated, "EXPERIENCED" worker (to put it one way) and have never found a company you would love working for more than Sammons!

    Pros

The Employee Stock Ownership Program is absolutely unbeatable in the area. There has always been in an increase even when other financial institutions lost money and had layoffs with the housing crash in 2008, Sammons has always shown growth.

    They actually give bonuses!

Sammons has a very strong knowledgeable HR team.

Their training for Sammons culture in is nothing short of amazing. While most companies will give you a boring video or speech, they have class participation and several interaction classes that are done together. This is also an ongoing experience.

    Very diverse and friendly environment.

Clean Cafeteria and very friendly service.

Employees have been at Sammons for over 45 years.

The pay scale is on par with other companies.

    Cons

The organization structure changes at a faster rate than a normal.

    Advice to Management

The organization needs to remove or adjust the dead weight that really don't fit within the company. In other words, if a manager has only 1 person under them then it might be in the best interest of the company to adjust so that individual goes under a manager with more people and remove excessive management.

SFG is unparalleled as a company in regards to the benefits it provides and how they treat their employees. Employees are viewed as valuable assets and compensated thusly in both salary, health benefits, and namely in the retirement benefits that are offered. People are continually challenged to grow and develop their skills with plenty of opportunities for promotion and advancement within the company.

    Cons

Some of the systems and work functions are a little outdated but this has been prioritized and set for improvement by our executive leadership.
