I have been working at SandRidge Energy as an intern (Less than a year)

Pros

As an Intern, SandRidge empowers you to accomplish as much as you are capable of accomplishing. Office and field work give a complete experience of what an Engineer does and is responsible for. Growth within company will surely add opportunity for upcoming graduates.

Cons

Company changes due to expansion and desire to proactively improve operations.

Advice to Management

Continue to assist employees with their future career opportunities at SandRidge Energy.

I have been working at SandRidge Energy full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good work Schedule. 10 on 4 off

    Cons

Micromanaging, don't want to hear the truth about what's really happening in the field.
Pay sucks compared to industry standard.
Fairness in pay. hiring new employees at higher rate than older empoyees. will not correct this problem. even with recent "raises" experienced employees are training people that are making more money. VERY BAD IDEA!!!!!

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees right and pay them fair. You just don't pay older employees less than new hires and expect them to train in-experienced people who make better money. Very bad ethics. Field employees work their butts off to make production, but don't see any return.

    Pros

    Good Pay
    Great co-workers
15% Matching 401K in SandRidge Stock
Newly renovated 30 floor tower in downtown OKC
Potential room for promotions as the company grows.

    Cons

    No work from home policy
Growing Pains - Structure can sometimes be missing.
No "Sick" Days, sick days count toward your vacation/Purchased Time Off
    No "Casual Friday's"

    Advice to Management

Stop kingdom building by some groups/departments... It's a poor substitute for good structure.
