    Pros

    Good position although not what I expected.

    Cons

    Poor middle management,needed to figure out the position on your own.

    Advice to Management

    Keep a closer eye on how department runs and do some additional training.

    I have been working at Sandy Spring Bancorp full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Great hours and pay for the amount of work. The lobby is open from 9-3 M-F and 9-12 on Saturday, which makes for a short and easy day. Also, their sales goals are not very aggressive and with good leadership/coaching skills they can easily be made.

    Cons

    -Management is not open to new ideas and being more aggressive to gain market share.
    -Their platform system is very outdated
    -They do not have development/coaching goals for the branch staff, which makes it hard to development your staff since they are not used to be coached on a regular basis.

    Advice to Management

    Start holding your front line associates accountable for referrals and sales goals to help gain market share. Also, develop a coaching model so that your leaders can start to coach their employees on a regular basis.
