I worked at Sanford Health full-time

Pros

Sanford is recognized to be one of the best, the people are friendly and there is good organization and management.

Cons

starting pay is very low and if you are a LPN and want to become a RN chances are you will not be able to stay in your current position. With budget cuts RN's have been replaced by LPNs in the clinic setting.

Advice to Management

Employee moral drops when job security is threatened.

I have been working at Sanford Health full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

OK health insurance (really you'd expect better working for a hospital system and all)
    Clean working environment
    Annual employee reviews
Plenty of annual training to keep employees up to date.

    Cons

Definitely get the feeling there's a disconnect between Sanford, and Sanford Corporate. *eye roll* But i don't think there's a corporation where that's not the case.
Experience varies greatly dept to dept. So if at first you don't like the office culture or support or lack thereof from your supervisor, try another dept! You might get lucky.

    Advice to Management

Seriously, lay off the corny cheesy fake sentimentality. its grating on the nerves and makes you seem disconnected like you're off in La La Land where everything is happy unicorns, rainbows, and endorsement checks.

I have been working at Sanford Health full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Lot of extra benefits and opportunities. THere is usually a yearly free concert as well as a small bonus if financial goals are met.

    Cons

Becoming so big that you start to feel like a number and they are starting to cut back on some of the 4 year skilled positions and replace them with 2 year technical positions in order to save money.

    Advice to Management

Talk to employees and recognize the value we try to provide.
