Cons

Bad resource management

Advice to Management

Management needs to understand how employees skills matching with their job profile
need an attention on People Staffing.

    Pros

If you are looking to work on technology this is the place.
If you are looking for a stepping stone or to sharpen yourself before the big carrier jump, this is the place
You can invest as much time as you want to work on innovative ideas and speak up, people listen
If work is the only thing in your mind and you want to become a tech junkie :)
No Support projects, however dev projects sometimes tend to become support projects.
Very good learning as most of the projects are started from scratch.
No NIGHT Shifts or shifts (actually this should go in cons :)
If you really put it all, also you all and you are good enough to present it, you are getting promoted.
NOT AT ALL A sarkari company attitude, something needs to get done, you need to drive and close it
Good onsite opportunities, specially long terms,if there is a need u r in, if you are the right person you are in. No "sifarish" as i have seen in other companies.

    Cons

    Absolutely no work life balance
Sapient people who spend their entire carrier here and become managers, have absolutely no clue how to handle team and work- YOU are unlucky big time, if u have such manager
Sapient managers born and brought up in sapient become managers at very young age with very less exp.
Very poor onsite visit management, no clear details, everything hapazard
Travel desk is clueless most of the times, and does not have right answers to your questions
Getting something reimbursed is a NIGHTMARE
    The increments are very low
Rather than making specialist and reuse the resource, they are just thrown out to any requirement.
People are expected to know everything, so joining as a fresher here is not a very good idea.
Lastly PARTIES, never have i seen so many parties thrown out, lots of food , drinks and music on the house. -- This is the best reason to be here :) cheers to that

    Advice to Management

Please get your Reimbursement policy fixed, its so very painful to get something reimbursed on time and to get reimbursement at all for that matter.
No compoffs, even if you are called up to work for weekends, there is a section in time card but its not given
Managers make it an expectation that you have to work on weekends, and its a minimum criteria
If you are hiring people from selected domains to work on selected platforms, try to retain them by providing them better opportunities rather than placing them just anywhere to getting billing from client.
The Sapient India way of work and the Sapient US way of work has a huge contrast.

    Doesn't Recommend
    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

    Good Learning Curve.
Technical Geeks and help you to grow

    Cons

To get staffed is a real pain.
Work life balance varies from project to project.
Although Compensation is good but no basic facilities are provided like paid parking for 4 wheelers is mere example

    Advice to Management

It better to do a project specific hiring as bench brings a real frustation to new joinees.
