Pros

Downtown, convenient, good benefits including bus pass, great ping pong on Friday afternoons.

Cons

This is a very micromanaged place. Information is not shared. Employees can be very competitive with one another. The person managing often is lacking in technical knowledge. This is the most uncomfortable place I have ever worked in my life.

Advice to Management

Stop micromanaging and treat employees with respect. Trust them. Share knowledge. Do not run company like a dictatorship.

    Cons

Mid management could be more dedicated and involved
Interference and disturbance from mother-ship big company
Better communication of long term strategy from the corporate to subsidiaries may help

Satori Executive management keep up the good work
Corporate management - help/let local executive management on doing their job since they are good at it

I worked at Satori Software full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - Clean office
    - Decent kitchen, stocked with drinks and waffles
    - Benefits are alright, not great but not terrible
    - If you are in an entry level position it is a good place to learn and gain experience
    - They will pay for parking or bus pass
    - Starting 3 weeks vacation time
    - Some friendly, smart individuals there

    Cons

    - Part time HR is hamstrung due to changes taking place within the company.
    - Large changes are taking place which leaves many people feeling uncertain of their future.
     - If you are above Mid-level in your field you will not be challenged.
    - Large changes leave MGMT and HR unsure of what they will need for future staff, coupled with not knowing what they want creates ambiguity and friction.
    - My direct experience was a strange competitive atmosphere between co-workers and lack of fundamental communication skills.

Overall it is a mediocre company in a declining market. The product is nothing spectacular. If you just need a job its a decent place. If you want experience it's an OK place to learn depending on what department you are in. But don't expect anything great. No one seems happy there.

    Advice to Management

I think once the changes within the company are complete MGMT will have better scope of what they will need. Right now its hard to tell. I thought MGMT was fairly open and approachable but never had any personal relations with them.
