Career progression is slow. Increment is low. Long wait to reach manager grade. Leave once you realize you are not the "favourites". Good luck to you an ex army officer parachutes into senior management. He'll bring his buddies along and you can wait long long for your promotion. Don't be surprised to see that the staff are either very new to the company or long timers. Many who served 5 to 8 years like me became frustrated and left.
