I have been working at Sava Senior Care full-time

    Pros

There is some satisfaction in knowing you are helping residents who are living in a less-than-ideal situation, not their preferred situation. I believe the nurses and CNAs, though disgruntled, certainly care about those under their care.

    Cons

Where to begin: supplies are always short (it's hard to do your job without gloves, wipes, diapers, etc.). Scheduling is atrocious (several times a week asked to stay over, come in early, switch days, work whole extra shifts before or after scheduled shift), turnover is incredibly high (attributing to the scheduling issues), staff are "catty" toward one another., facility is questionably clean (paper towels in the staff men's room were out for nearly two weeks--if the towels aren't being replenished, are they actually cleaning). As my title says, I don't know if this is localized to the particular home I work at (Spring Creek, Fort Collins), or if it is system wide.

    Advice to Management

Get it together, these are basic issues. Keeping supplies well-stocked, getting schedules right, keeping the place clean shouldn't be big issues.
