I have been working at Save the Children full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Great mission, great coworkers (in general)

    Cons

    - poor senior management -poor career advancement -little accountability

    Advice to Management

The mission is great, but there is little career advancement (having a course online does not equal staff development) and the senior management team (many of them older white men) is very isolated from staff.

I worked at Save the Children for less than a year

    Pros

--Great company culture: friendly employees, real commitment to diversity and inclusion, relaxed dress code matched with very hard workers --Loved the work I did, actually felt like I was being useful as an intern instead of just filing papers. I got to attend markup sessions on the hill, go to bi-lateral meetings with politicians, host events in congressional buildings, and build up our congressional strategy --People understand the desire for work/life balance and the full time employees are very respectful of each other's time --See myself working here in the future

    Cons

--Lots of meetings, not all of them necessary (like every company)

    Advice to Management

Keep the paid internship program! It's a real game-changer.
