      Great Company with Great Benefits

      Pros

Honestly great all around. Benefits are amazing with vesting 10% 401k match, paid health insurance, dental, and additional perks with tenure. People are great to work with as well, some of the best people in management I have worked with in my career and the culture is great as a result. If you are focused on career growth and new opportunities in the compliance industry, I have found that at Schellman the only thing holding you back from getting involved in new initiatives or practices is yourself. From experience, managers and principals are invested in the practice, individual growth, and also broadening expertise in different compliance frameworks. Very collaborative team and good communication from top management.

      Cons

Fast pace. If you aren't up for getting a lot of experience across different clients and industries, this probably isn't the company for you. Travel has gone down a bit since COVID, but employees typically work on anywhere from 1-4 different clients per month.

        Pros

Company compensation, benefit package to include 401k match and PTO are the best I have seen, culture, people. Not enough good things can be said.

        Cons

Cannot think of any cons. With the nature of the work there can be some stress but I feel that it comes with all jobs in this field.

          Pros

Schellman has a unicorn like ability to reinvent itself every 2-3 years while still maintaining its cultural DNA around focusing on its people, clients, and quality. We have new services, markets where we have become the leader (federal) and exciting new areas of opportunity (digital trust, software security, etc.) Additionally, we have recruited some of the best new talent in the business over the last 12 months. Last, our private equity partners have fostered significant growth an investment along with a discipline for financial success.

          Cons

Nothing significant here - Change can be tough everywhere, especially for leaders who have been here 10, 15+ years. Resource management across regions and practices is a challenge for all professional services organizations. There are known pockets of under and over-utilization of certain people.

Wow! What a great way to summarize our evolution. Thank you for taking the time to provide this insight and share where our leaders can focus. We will continue to be transparent in our communications especially as we grow and change. Our investment in technology will drive an increase efficiency in staffing over time, but in the meantime if you have ideas, please email feedback@schellman.com.

I finished final round interview. Should I send a thank you letter to everyone or only to people where I have something interesting to add on. I interviewed with the hiring manager twice already and sent thank you emails. He never responds, should I even bother to send him one more since we talked again in the final round? HR said I wouldn’t hear back until late next week earliest. It sounds like they still have to wrap up final rounds with other people. I don’t want them to forget me.

        Data Engineer

Got a possible interview coming up with Pepsico as a data engineer in the DFW, TX area. It's more towards an entry-beginner type of role. Anyone know what kind of questions I should be expecting in the technical part of the interview?

What level of influence do potential stakeholders have in the decision-making process during a peer interview? For instance, in my upcoming 3rd round interview involving three peers, following successful phone screenings and VP interviews, would a scenario where one peer has a positive impression while the others don't, or vice versa, significantly impact my chances of securing the job?
